NATURAL GAS

Co-product of iodine

Natural gas is co-produced with iodine from brine water found 1,500 to 2,000 meters underground. Dissolved in brine water, natural gas is separated during the initial phase of processing and collected at a relay facility. From there, it is supplied to gas companies via pipelines.

Low pollution energy

The primary ingredient of natural gas is methane gas and since it hardly generates nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide when burned, it has attracted considerable attention in recent years for its environmentally friendly performance.

New applications

Both clean and safe, natural gas is in growing demand for new, non-fuel-related applications, for example, air-conditioning systems and low-pollution natural gas vehicles.
