IODINE AND IODINE DERIVATIVES

Iodine and unique technology

Iodine is one of the rare natural resources that Japan supplies to the world. We produce iodine from the ancient pools of brine water found 1,500 to 2,000 meters underground.

Ise was the first company in Japan to produce iodine using the "blowing-out" method. This method has subsequently enabled us to achieve efficient mass production of a range of high quality and high purity products. We have also developed an innovative method of producing iodine in globular form ("ISEFLO"), which has been highly appreciated by our customers and thus enabled us to deliver iodine in either flake or globular form in response to customers' preference.

Varieties of iodine derivatives

We have expanded the scope of our products to encompass various iodine derivatives. Constant improvements also have enabled us to produce iodine and iodine derivatives of ever higher quality.

We currently deliver dozens of iodine derivatives, including both organic and inorganic iodine compounds. These products have a wide range of uses in the pharmaceutical, medical and food sectors as well as electronics fields.
