Established Ise Chemicals Corporation as a corporate organization

Completed construction of Yatsumi Plant (currently a distribution center) in Chiba Prefecture and started production of iodine (activated charcoal method) from natural gas brine

Completed construction of Taito Plant in Chiba Prefecture and started production of natural gas and iodine (activated charcoal method)

Received capital investment from Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (currently AGC Inc.) and became an affiliate

Established Ichinomiya Plant in Chiba Prefecture

Established a new iodine production method (blowing out method), completed construction of Shirako Plant in Chiba Prefecture, and started production of natural gas as well as iodine by the blowing out-method. The method was subsequently rolled out at each plant.
