Message from the management

The natural resources on Earth have been nurtured over an unimaginably long time. If we consider this as the initial process, then our role is to mine and process these precious resources and transform them into valuable products for our customers, who represent the final process.

Ise Chemical Corporation began its business in 1927 in the Ise region of Mie Prefecture, from which the company takes its name, by extracting and processing iodine from seaweed. Subsequently, we shifted to producing iodine from underground natural resources, such as water-soluble natural gas and associated brine, and have since been providing materials to a wide range of customers. Currently, we have bases in Chiba and Miyazaki Prefectures in Japan, and we operate in Oklahoma, USA, growing into one of the world’s leading suppliers of iodine and iodine compounds. Additionally, we have expanded our business scope to include metal compounds, leveraging our accumulated technology.

The growth of our business to date is due to another important resource: human power. From our founders to our predecessors, our efforts have been focused on technological innovation and creativity, overcoming numerous challenges to develop, improve, and enhance the quality of production methods, such as the blowing-out method and spherical iodine (ISEFLO®), ahead of the world. We will continue to focus on developing and nurturing human resources, innovating production processes with energy and resource efficiency, and accelerating the development of new products.

In 2027, we will celebrate our 100th anniversary. We will continue to operate our business with compliance, environmental conservation, and coexistence with local communities as fundamental principles, ensuring the trust of all our stakeholders through safe and reliable business practices. As a company contributing to a sustainable society, we will strive to create corporate value, now and in the future.
